Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (10-9, 5-7 CC) matches up with two Centennial Conference opponents this week. The Diplomats host Gettysburg (10-9, 7-5 CC) on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. inside the Mayser Center. F&M then plays an away game at No. 10 Swarthmore (17-2, 11-1 CC) on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats fell, 77-73, against Ursinus Thursday evening. Josh Parra tallied a double-double as he finished with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Kevin Nowoswiat dropped a career-high 21 points coming off the bench. Omar Nichols also finished in double-digit scoring figures with 10 points in the contest. Read the full recap here

F&M bounced back with a 92-76 victory over Washington College Saturday afternoon. Four of the five Diplomat starters finished with double-digit scoring figures, led by Vakaris Grauslys with 18 points. Grauslys also tied Mark Suchy for the team-high in assists with seven. John Seidman recorded a double-double, scoring 15 points and corralling 15 rebounds. As a team, F&M shot 54.5 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from beyond the arc in the win. Last Time

F&M was defeated by Gettysburg, 67-55, in its last matchup on January 12.  The Diplomats tied the game at 59-all with 6:09 remaining in regulation before the Bullets pulled away to close out the game. Nichols led F&M in scoring with 17 points and three three-pointers. Seidman tallied 14 points and two blocks in the loss. Read the full recap here

The Diplomats put up a hard-fought fight against Swarthmore, but it was the Garnet who came out on top, 94-93, in a game that was decided in double overtime earlier this season. Parra ended the game with a double-double as he recorded 15 points and 11 rebounds in the contest. Seidman led the team with 24 points, including three three-pointers. Gettysburg Team Preview

Gettysburg enters Wednesday's matchup having lost its last two games against No. 12 Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg. Guard Carl Schaller leads the Bullets in scoring, averaging 12.3 points per game. Schaller is second in the CC for minutes played, averaging 33:22 per contest. Forward Ryan McKeon leads the conference in blocks, swatting 2.19 shots per game. 

Swarthmore Team Preview

Before No. 10 Swarthmore hosts F&M on Saturday, the Garnet host Washington College Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Swarthmore took its first conference-loss to Johns Hopkins, 77-67, on Saturday. Guard Vinny DeAngelo leads the Garnet in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game. DeAngelo scored a season-high 33 points in the Garnet's win over the Diplomats earlier this year. Forward Michael Caprise leads the conference in rebounds, averaging 8.5 boards per contest.
