RESULTS
HAVERFORD, Pa.–Two weeks out from the Centennial Conference championships, the Swarthmore College women's track and field team took part in the Seamus McElligott Invitational hosted by Haverford College.
The quartet of
Lulu Allen-Waller,
Kayla Camacho,
Jen Beltran and
Anise Charles captured the title in the 4x200-meter relay with a time of 1:51.65.
Allen-Waller also came in second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.40 as
Kayla Camacho was the runner-up in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best mark of 8.26. Senior
Indy Reid-Shaw had a strong showing in the 5k event, coming in second with a time of 17:54.55. Freshman
Claire Conley continued a strong first-year campaign as she placed second behind a 10.92m mark.
Beltran placed fourth in the 800-meter run (2:26.59) and freshman
Louise Rosler also garnered a fourth-place result in the 400-meter race (1:05.29) while winning her heat. In the mile,
Lilly Price was the Garnet's top finisher, placing fifth in 5:22.13, right ahead of
Sydney Covitz (5:33.54) and
Natalie McLaughlin (5:34.09).
Swarthmore will travel to Haverford again next weekend for the Keogh Invite on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 11 a.m.
