Box Score Seniors Amanda Tullo and Emma Carmody combined for nine goals in an 18-6 win, helping the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse's team snap Hood's season-opening four-game winning streak.
 
Coming out of the break with a 7-5 lead, the Mules (2-1) found the back of the net six times in the first 10 minutes of the second half en route to an 11 goal explosion. The defense did its part over final 30 minutes, holding the Blazers to a single goal and scoreless for the game's final 25:46.
 
A Muhlenberg player caused 10 of 13 Hood turnovers on the day, led by junior Victoria Friedel with three. Senior defenders Caroline Dolan and Morgan Weiss each corralled four ground balls to lead the Mules.  Defender Kaley Ryan picked up one ground ball in the first start of her career.
 
The offense put 29 of its 38 total shots on goal. The barrage led to goals from eight different players, including the first in the young career of freshman Isabelle Crane to cap the game's scoring. Fellow rookie Madeline Dill netted her second-career goal, while dishing out the first two assists of her career.
 
Tullo's second five-goal outing of the season extends her goal scoring streak to 16 games dating back to last season. Carmody's four tallies set a new career high, besting her previous best of three set against both Drew and Franklin & Marshall in 2017.
 
Junior Gabriella Crivelli has been a consistent contributor in the early goings of the season with two goals in each of the first three games.
