SWARTHMORE, Pa.--Swarthmore College Softball lost two one-run games against Penn State Berks on Thursday at Clothier Field.
The Garnet, now 10-4 on the year, tallied 13 hits in the doubleheader but only scored three runs, losing, 2-1 and 3-2.
Game One: Swarthmore 1, PSU Berks 2
Freshman pitcher
Lucy Decker started the first game for Swarthmore and surrendered two runs over the first three innings.
Garnet sophomore
Kennedy Kings scored the game's final run on an error in the bottom of the fourth. Kings went 2-for-3 in the game and currently has a team-leading .512 average this season.
Maddie Bowe, another freshman pitcher for Swarthmore, threw four scoreless innings in relief and allowed just two hits.

A Kings double in the bottom of the first gave Swarthmore an early lead as junior
Marit Vike and sophomore
Gabriella Natoli reached home plate.
The Garnet held that 2-0 lead until the top of the fifth, but the Nittany Lions took a 3-2 lead when Swarthmore junior
McKenzie Ward and senior
Mary Olesnavich each allowed a run.
Kings and Garnet sophomore
Kalli Segel went 2-for-3.
Swarthmore is back at Clothier Field on Saturday for a doubleheader against Dickinson College beginning at 1 p.m.
