Meet Highlights
- Gettysburg swept both relay events. The Bullets quartet of senior Jeff Ragatz (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield), Yancey, Edelson, and Nonemaker dominated the 200 medley relay and finished in 1:35.73 – nearly five second ahead of the field. The final race of the day in the 200 free relay was closer, but Yancey and fellow juniors Danny Petrillo (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan), Brian Berry (Canton, Conn./Canton), and Aedan Collins (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) still won by over two seconds with a mark of 1:27.01.
- Proxmire swept the 500-1000 free races for the third time this season. He won the 1,000 by nearly 33 seconds at 9:43.70 and he claimed the top spot in the 500 by eight seconds at 4:43.63. The junior has won a total of 13 races this season.
- Nonemaker completed a hat trick with the first of his three individual wins coming in the 100 breast (1:00.31). He bested Edelson in the 100 free with a time of 47.93 and added a win in the 200 IM with a mark of 1:59.64.
- Edelson won both fly events in a dual for the first time this season. He out-dueled Catholic's Gregory McCarthy in both races, posting a time of 1:57.56 in the 200 and 52.73 in the 100.
- Yancey won the 50 free for the fifth time this season. He beat out Collins for the top spot Sunday with a time of 21.51. Yancey came right back with a dominant display in the 200 breast, winning the event by nearly eight seconds at 2:14.76.
- Collins and freshman Nick Cox (Purcellville, Va./Ponte Vedra) rounded out the individual winners for Gettysburg. Collins led a 1-2-3 finish in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.78. Cox won the 100 back for the fourth time this season, edging out Ragatz by just 0.5 seconds at 54.34.
