WESTMINSTER, Md.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse cruised to an 11-4 road win at McDaniel College on Saturday.
Sophomore attack
Austin Chang led all scorers with four goals.
Cam Marsh also had a four-point game by posting three goals and an assist.
Nathaniel Johns recorded four points too by netting a pair of goals and dealing out two assists.
Mason Evarts and
Zander Levitz also scored in the win.
Freshman
Frankie Dillon, starting in place of the injured
John Calia for the third straight game, earned his first win and did so while recording 14 saves.
Isaac Kleisle-Murphy closed out the final seven minutes an recorded four saves.
The Garnet were in control at the faceoff x, winning 14-of-19 draws.
Ryan Izquierdo won nine of the first 10 faceoffs and finished by winning 12-of-16.
Hunter Luber went 2-for-3.
The teams were tied at 2-2 after 10 minutes of play, but Swarthmore exploded with an 8-0 run that began at 2:29 in the first and was capped at 8:06 in the fourth quarter.
Swarthmore (2-4 Centennial) is fighting to stay alive in the playoff picture. The Garnet face Washington College on the road on Wednesday.
