SCRANTON, Pa.—Swarthmore College junior
Dan Altieri carded a +5 en route to winning medalist honors at the Gino Binodi Memorial Tournament on Saturday and Sunday. Altieri's 147 led the pack of 43 golfers at the 6,339-yard, par-71 course at Glenmaura National Golf Club.
Altieri was even after day one, posting five birdies in the first round, and then in the second round shot par on the front nine and plus five on the back.
The Garnet shot 311 on day one but took a 333 on day two to finish in fifth with a +76.
Nick DiMaio carded a 163 (+21), and freshman
Ankur Malik was a stroke behind him at +22. Classmate
Michael Brown shot a 170, and
Adam Agustin tabbed a 173.
The Garnet also had two golfers compete at Ursinus' Revolutionary Classic. There,
Max Katz-Balmes recorded a 166 (+22), and
Kevin Zheng shot a 174 (+30).
The Garnet wrap up the fall season with the F&M Invitational on Monday.
