The Muhlenberg men's basketball team made only one field goal in the first 11:55 and went on to suffer an 84-54 loss at 10th-ranked Swarthmore.
The Mules (8-8, 5-4) scored the first two points of the game when freshman
Nate Henty Brown drove in for a layup. By the time they made their next basket, the Garnet (14-2, 7-2) held a 30-point lead.
Muhlenberg outscored Swarthmore in the second half but could not put a dent in the big lead.
Freshman
Dan Gaines, the reigning Centennial Conference player of the week, scored a game-high 17 points. Henty Brown also reached double figures, with 11 points, and blocked a pair of shots.
Senior
Erik Werheim blocked three shots and scored his lone field goal on a second-half dunk. Freshman
Noah Watson (pictured above) finished with eight points.
