COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Seniors
Mikaela Collins (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan) and
Ellery Lyon (Sheldonville, Mass./King Philip) won two events apiece, helping the Gettysburg College women's track and field team win the Ursinus College Invitational on Saturday.

With a team score of 173, the Bullets beat out District of Columbia by 40 points for the team title. Bryn Mawr (133), Ursinus (73), and Division II Lincoln (61) rounded out the top-five in the 10-team field.

Collins prevailed in both the shot put and discus. She registered an outdoor personal record (PR) in the shot with a heave of 40-6, beating out 16 competitors. That mark also ranks second in school history. Collins defeated all 17 of her opponents in the discus with a toss of 115-3.

Lyon won by over four feet in the javelin, beating out 13 competitors with her throw of 119-3, which ranks her fifth in school history. She added a victory in the high jump (4-7 3/4) and a sixth-place finish in the shot put (35-5 3/4).

Senior
Kendra Meredith (Boyds, Md./Northwest) added an impressive victory in the long jump, winning by over six inches with a PR of 18-5 1/4, which places her third all-time at Gettysburg. Also picking up a win was sophomore
Hailey Moseman (Longmeadow, Mass./Longmeadow), who with a time of 2:22.64 beat out 29 competitors in the 800-meter run. Moseman's time places her ninth in school history.

Moseman led a strong Gettysburg showing in the 800, as the Bullets swept the top-three spots and had four of the top-six finishers. Junior
Sarah Rinehart (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) took second in 2:28.55 while classmate
Paige Wesolowski (Groveland, Mass./Pentucket Regional) placed third in 2:29.34. Sophomore
Elisabeth French (Westport, Conn./Staples) came in fifth in 2:33.65 while freshman
Devyn Heinzerling (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) was sixth in 2:33.65.

Sarah Congdon (Sewell, N.J./Clearview Regional) added a runner-up showing in the 400-meter hurdles (1:08.23), as did junior
Kiersten Dyhrberg (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth) in the hammer (124-4).

Rinehart also took third in the 1500 meter run (5:00.86). Placing fourth were freshman
Michelle O'Malley (Locust, N.J./Red Bank Catholic) in the 5000-meter run (19:27.69) and sophomore
Katharine Taylor (Belmar, N.J./Saint Rose) in the hammer (114-7).

Catherine Dobensky (Shelton, Conn./Lauralton Hall) in the 5000 (19:41.64), sophomore
Kenzie Horst (Stevens, Pa./Ephrata) in the hammer (107-1), freshman
Sam Miller (Newtown Square, Pa./Penncrest) in the 100-meter hurdles (17.86), and Moseman in the 400-hurdles (1:13.84).

Gettysburg continues its season next Saturday at the Millersville Metrics, while a handful of athletes will compete Friday and Saturday at the Princeton University Sam Howell Invitational.
