Of the 16 Muhlenberg wrestlers who competed at the season-opening King's Monarch Invitational, 11 picked up at least one win.

Leading the Mules with three wins on the day was freshman Austin Sherman (141), while freshmen Quentin Bernhard (141) and Nick Daza (149), sophomore Gennaro Cerminara (184) and junior Jake Gordon (174) each picked up a pair of wins.

Gordon roared into the quarterfinals of his bracket with a technical fall and a major decision before falling to the eventual third-place finisher. Cerminara also reached the championship quarterfinals with a pin and scored another pin in the consolation bracket.

Bernhard recorded back-to-back first-period pins in the consolation bracket, while Daza's first career win also came by fall. 

Freshman 197-pounder Scott Schaeffer won the first bout of his career on a major decision, and freshmen Connor McGee (133) and Cam Wasson (165) pinned opponents for their first career wins.

Sophomore 141-pounder Jonny Greenblatt (pictured above), who wrestled in the first two tournaments of the 2015-16 year before suffering a season-ending injury, came back in a big way, pinning a wrestler from Scranton in the first period for his first career win.
