Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall softball team (7-20, 2-9 CC) gets set to wrap up the regular season with three doubleheaders this week. The Diplomats host Gettysburg (21-12-1, 8-4 CC) Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. before traveling to Albright (3-25, 0-12 MAC) Thursday at 3:00 p.m. F&M celebrates Senior Day Saturday against Swarthmore (16-16, 4-8 CC) at 1:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats picked up two wins last week as F&M blanked Cabrini, 5-0, before beating Haverford, 6-2. In the 6-2 win against the Fords, Hillary Murse pieced together two hits and two RBI in the victory. Megan Wiarda led the contest with three RBI. Read the full recap here.

Last Time vs. Gettysburg

The Bullets swept F&M in their doubleheader last season. Maddy Yeingst, Jamie Belfer '21, and Devon Witt each had two hits in the opener to pace the Diplomats. Francesca Testa finished game two with a 2-for-3 day at the plate, driving in two runs during the Diplomats' lone multi-hit performance. Read the full recap here.

Last Time vs. Albright

Albright and Franklin & Marshall last met in 2018 with the Lions edging the Diplomats, 6-5. Ryan Correa '18 and Ella Glenn '21 led F&M with three hits each. Five different Diplomats drove in an RBI in the contest. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Swarthmore

F&M was swept in last season's doubleheader against Swarthmore. The Garnet claimed game one, 4-1, before winning game two, 10-0.

Gettysburg Team Preview

Gettysburg swept Washington College on Friday to wrap up the week. Outfielder Giovanna Komst boasts a .471 batting average with five doubles and 18 RBI this season. Pitcher Paige Forry leads the pitching staff with a 1.86 ERA and 104 strikeouts in 101.2 innings in the circle. 

Albright Team Preview

Albright plays on the road at York (Pa.) Wednesday before playing F&M on Thursday. Utility player Mya Mrakich averages .289 at the plate. Mrakich also slugs .368 with two doubles and two triples. Pitcher Jadelyn Van Winkle holds a 6.40 ERA with 50 strikeouts in 81 innings of work. 

Swarthmore Team Preview

The Garnet host Muhlenberg on Tuesday before heading to Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Utility player Olivia McClammy averages .410 while slugging .564. McClammy also has 19 RBI, five doubles, two triples, and one home run. Pitcher Sarah Schab has a 4.96 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 45.1 innings in the circle.
