A pair of freshmen made impressive debuts when the Muhlenberg track and field teams kicked off their 2017-18 campaign at the Lehigh Season Opener.
Emily Mitchell entered the Mules' all-time performance list in second place with her long jump of 16-7. She placed eighth and achieved her best mark on her fifth attempt. Mitchell
(pictured above left) also narrowly missed the top 10 on the performance list in the 60 meters, finishing in 8.54 seconds (10th place is 8.46).
Zach Lill came in seventh in the pole vault with a height of 12-11½ in his first collegiate competition. Lill
(pictured above right) cleared the bar on his first two attempts at lower heights, then stayed in the competition on his third and final try at 12-11½.
Muhlenberg veterans also had noteworthy accomplishments. Senior
