The Muhlenberg field hockey team scored early and late, but 16th-ranked Johns Hopkins had too much in between and came away with a 5-2 win in a matchup of Centennial Conference unbeatens.
For the second straight game, the Mules (4-6, 4-1) dented the scoreboard in the first five minutes. Freshman
Megan Webber scored her third goal of the season off a penalty corner to make it 1-0 just 4:50 into the game. Senior
Emily Davis (pictured above) fed Webber for her ninth career assist.
The Blue Jays (10-1, 5-0) took the lead with two goals by the end of the half and put the game out of reach with three second-half goals.
Freshman
Sarah Raab netted her first career goal with 13:14 remaining, blasting in a shot from the top of the circle.
