A matchup with No. 1 Ben Brisman (Ithaca) looms in the championship.

The West Chester, Pennsylvania native was leading Surich 20-4 in the third period at the time of the stoppage and bested Grippi by an 11-2 margin. The major was the first of Kaliner's season.
