ALLENTOWN, Pa. –
Junior Austin Roskos (Lawrenceville, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) capped the regular season with a flourish by earning his first career championship at the Futures Mideast Tournament hosted by Muhlenberg College on Sunday.

The tournament primarily featured underclassmen that won't likely be competing in next weekend's NCAA regionals. Gettysburg sent 11 competitors to the event.

Roskos, a starter for most of last season at 174/184 who returned to the team in January after studying abroad in the fall, posted three victories in the 184 bracket at Muhlenberg. He notched his fourth pin of the season in his opening match and closed with a pair of close decisions, defeating Muhlenberg's Tommy Disisto 3-2 in the semis and taking down Nate Stine of York (Pa.) College 6-5 in the finals. Roskos improved his record to 9-6 and his victory marked the program's 13th individual title of the 2018-19 campaign.

Junior Traken Sutton (Wethersfield, Conn./Loomis-Chaffee) joined his classmate in the finals with a runner-up finish at 157. Sutton won each of his first two bouts by decision and cruised into the championship match with a 10-0 major decision. The junior just missed the crown with a 3-1 loss to New York University's Liam Drury, who was later named the Most Outstanding Wrestler of the event.

Junior Tristan Chen (Potomac, Md./St. Andrew's Episcopal) finished fifth at 165. He managed three wins on the day, including a 16-8 major decision in his second bout. Chen closed the afternoon with a 9-8 victory over Muhlenberg's Ronnie Grevera.

Sophomore Phil Angelo (Summit, N.J./Summit) placed sixth at 149. Angelo posted a 38-second pin in his opening match before dropping a pair of decisions. He was forced to forfeit the fifth-place bout with an injury.

Freshman Kelvin Angelo Cupay (Beach Park, Ill./Warren Township) and junior Steve MacDonald (Geneva, Ill./Geneva) each won a pair of matches at 157 pounds. Cupay posted 11-5 and 10-7 decisions, while MacDonald won by 8-2 and 97 scores. Sophomore Sal Puglisi (Pompton Lakes, N.J./Pompton Lakes) won his lone match by fall (5:00) before withdrawing due to injury at 174.

The Bullets compete at the NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championship hosted by Lycoming College on Feb. 22-23.
