LANCASTER, Pa. – The Ursinus Indoor Women's Track & Field team turned in another strong showing as they competed in Franklin & Marshall's Mini-Dip Invitational on Friday.
Three school records fell for the team in the event as senior
Isabelle Deal took down both indoor throwing event school records while sophomore
Meghan Carroll established a new standard in the 600 meters.
Deal topped her week-long school record in the shot put at F&M while besting the previous school record weight throw mark that was set by
Zenya Yanoff last season. She won the shot put with her throw of 42-5.25 ft. which is the second best throw in the Centennial Conference this season and finished third in the weight throw with her mark of 44-9 ft. Senior
Hannah Bierling and junior
Jacqueline Allen earned top-10 finishes in each throwing event on the day. Bierling finished sixth in the shot put with her throw of 36-2.75 and Allen followed in seventh with her mark of 36-07.5 ft. Bierling then finished ninth in the weight throw with a career best throw of 41-10 ft. and Allen followed in 10th with her mark of 41-2 ft.
Carroll recorded a time of 1:43.77 in the 600 meters which set the mark for the Ursinus record books and finished fourth overall in the race. First-year
Kaelin Ryan followed in seventh with her time of 1:46.48. Junior
Brooke Adams and senior
Holly Chambers earned top-five finishes in the 800 meters as Adams placed second with a career best time of 2:25.62. Chambers followed in third with her time of 2:26.03 and first-year
Mia Sideris finished eighth overall with on a time of 2:30.64. Sophomore
Ryann Wauthier led a pair of Bears in the 5,000 meters with her time of 19:44.99 and classmate
Samantha Grubb earned a time of 19:53.06 to finish just behind in fourth.
Junior
Esther Akande finished fourth in the triple jump with her mark of 31-10.75 and first-year
Lily Nagy followed in fifth with a mark of 31-7.25 ft. First-year
Eden Merritt finished fifth in the long jump with a tally of 15-5.5 ft. while classmate
Amanda Traska finished seventh in the high jump after clearing the bar at 4-5.25 ft.
First-year
Juniper Bauroth-Sherman led the Bears in the pole vault with a fifth place finish after clearing the bar at 8-11.5 ft.

Veronica Filippone finished third overall in the 4x400 with a time of 4:20.70.
The Bears return to action on Saturday, February 4th as they will host the Frank Colden Invitational, the final home meet of the indoor season, that will start at 8:45 a.m.
