PORTLAND, Ore.—Swarthmore College Baseball won its weekend series with the Lewis & Clark College Pioneers, taking game three on Sunday. Swarthmore scored all five of its runs in the sixth inning, and went on to win 5-3.
Noah Linhart earned the win while striking out 10 batters in six innings.
Charles Groppe pitched two scoreless innings, striking out three, and
Adam Schauer got the save.
Matt Palmer had another multi-hit game, going 2-for-4.
Down 2-1 in the sixth,
Conor Elliott batted in two runs with a single to right.
Jared Gillen brought in Elliott with a single to center and
Michael Sepe batted in Gillen with another single later in the inning.
Swarthmore recorded six hits in the game while the hosts had 10.
The Garnet travel to Walla Walla, Washington, for a game on Tuesday against Whitman College.
