The Muhlenberg tennis teams fought the weather and tough Haverford squads in their spring home openers.
The women played the entirely of their match indoors, while the men started outdoors and had to move inside when rain arrived. Both matches were played to decision, with the Fords - who made the Centennial Conference playoffs last year on both the men's and women's sides - winning 5-0.
The closest men's matches came at first singles and first doubles. In the singles match, senior
Mickey Schindler rebounded from a 6-2 loss in the first set to take the second, 6-4. His opponent, a first-team All-CC selection last year, won the third set in a supertiebreaker, 10-5.
Schindler and freshman
Noah Sellinger fought hard at No. 1 doubles before dropping an 8-6 decision.

Shelby Knafo lines up a shot in her No. 3 doubles match.
