Freshmen Alec Andrews and Isaac Spiegel combined on a five-hitter and junior Jon Capra hit a bases-loaded double as the Muhlenberg baseball team won a non-conference game at Elizabethtown, 10-2.

Andrews tossed six shutout innings in his second career start to earn the win. He allowed only two hits and struck out three, including one with runners on second and third to end the bottom of the third.

Spiegel worked the final three innings to earn his first career save.

Andrews had a five-run lead when he threw his first pitch. Singles by freshman Robert Cappadona and junior Chris Grillo, followed by a walk, loaded the bases with nobody out in the top of the first. One out later, Capra cleared the bases with a two-bagger to give the Mules (12-16) a quick 3-0 lead. Capra scored on a sacrifice fly by senior Troy Vazquez, and senior Taylor Vazquez singled in a run later in the inning.

Troy Vazquez (pictured above), whose third-inning double led to a run, drove in another run with a two-out single in the seventh to make it 7-0.

Grillo's third hit of the game, a two-run single, was the big hit in a three-run eighth inning that gave Muhlenberg double digits in runs.
