Junior Timmy Pilrun of the Muhlenberg baseball team was named Centennial Conference pitcher of the week.
Pilrun pitched a complete-game five-hitter in the Mules' 3-1 win at Ursinus. He walked two and struck out seven against a Bear lineup that leads the CC with a .319 team batting average. Pilrun retired 16 of the final 20 hitters he faced in tossing his second consecutive complete game.
The southpaw finished the season with a record of 3-2 and a 4.32 ERA in seven starts. Over his final three starts, Pilrun pitched to a 2.63 ERA and held opponents to a .215 batting average.
Pilrun will enter his senior season with a career record of 8-5.
