Dickinson senior QB Cole Ahnell (Rockville, Md.) became the third Red Devil to amass 4,000 yards of total offense (4,215), accounting for 289 yards and five TDs against the Eagles. He also needs 123 yards through the air to become the fourth Dickinson passer to throw for 3,000 in a career. Junior WR Anders Overhaug (Yarmouth, Maine) caught a 65-yard scoring pass for his first collegiate TD, while senior WR Devin Gaby (Arlington, Va.) pulled in a 23-yard strike for his first six-pointer. Junior RB Cedric Madden (Norristown, Pa.) carried 22 times for a career-high 115 yards. Sophomore LB Ned Emala (Baltimore, Md.) led the defense with 11 solo tackles. |

Franklin & Marshall freshman RB Taalib Gerald (Egg Harbor Twp., N.J.) scored the team's lone touchdown in the loss at Muhlenberg. Sophomore DB Brendan Daly (Norfolk, Mass.) led the defense with nine tackles. F&M's first four opponents combined for a 30-13 record in 2013. The Diplomats were held to just 83 passing yards – the lowest total by F&M since Oct. 22, 2011 vs. Moravian (80). Franklin & Marshall is just three wins away from becoming the eighth D-3 school to register 600 all-time. | |
Gettysburg senior WB Fred Caruso (Silver Spring, Pa.) rushed for a career-high 101 yards on 11 carries vs. Ursinus. Junior WR Brandon Sparks (New Hope, Pa.) caught two touchdown passes (48, 23 yards) from senior QB Zach Miller (Madison, Conn.) for his first two-TD game of his career. Miller has thrown a touchdown pass in 12 consecutive games. Senior LB Mike Maguire (Colts Neck, N.J.) and sophomore LB Michael Pennella (Martinsville, N.J.) led the defense with nine tackles. The Bullets are now 16-16 in Centennial openers. Gettysburg has scored in its last 88 games – the longest active streak in the Conference. | |
Johns Hopkins won its 17th consecutive September start with a 27-20 win at Susquehanna. The Blue Jays are now 35-1 in their last 36 regular-season games. Hopkins amassed 321 yards on the ground, as sophomore RB Stuart Walters (Charleston, S.C.) and junior RB Brandon Cherry (Parkville, Md.) ran for 124 and 99 yards, respectively. Soph RB Dionisio Roman (Frenchtown, N.J.) and senior QB Braden Anderson (Great Falls, Va.) each ran for two scores. Senior DB Ryan Rice (Frisco, Texas) intercepted a pass and forced a fumble on the Crusaders' last two drives to seal the victory. Udinski has rushed for 27 TDs and needs three more to surpass the Centennial career mark for QBs of 29 held by Dickinson's Ian Mitchell '10. Senior WR Isaiah Slutter (Philadelphia, Pa.) was on the receiving end of a 79-yard touchdown, while sophomore WR Kirby Breault (Elizabethtown, Pa.) snared a 40-yard six-pointer. Senior LB Ethan Wilt (Altoona, Pa.) led the defense with 11 tackles, while junior DL Kweku Parker (York, Pa.) had two sacks among his six stops. |

McDaniel is now 15-17 all-time in Centennial openers after a 28-7 loss at Moravian. Senior QB Ryan Yamada (Brookeville, Md.) came off the bench to engineer the lone scoring drive, capped by a 22-yard TD pass to WR Sean Montgomery (Bethesda, Md.). Montgomery and senior WR Mike Oliveto (Robesonia, Pa.) each snagged six passes for a combined 141 yards. Junior DB Luke Fernandez (Manchester, Md.) led the defense with 10 tackles. Moravian improved to 2-0 for the first time since 2008 after a 28-7 victory over McDaniel. Freshman RB Eli Redmond (Laurys Station, Pa.) set a school and tied a Conference record by returning the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. Gettysburg's Nathan Smith returned a kick 100 yards for a TD vs. Averett in 2002. It was the 'Hounds first KOR for a score since 2008 and broke the old mark of 98 yards set by Jed Warseger '05 vs. Lebanon Valley in 2002. Redmond also carried 19 times for 109 rushing yards. Freshman Jordan Stout (Berwick, Pa.) scored the first two TDs of his collegiate career on 1-yard plunges. Sophomore P Gonzalo Hurtado (Macungie, Pa.) averaged 42.2 yards on eight punts, placing three inside the 20. Muhlenberg outgained Franklin & Marshall, 434-169, on its way to a 42-7 thumping of the Diplomats. Freshman RB Max Cepeda (River Edge, N.J.) rushed for 104 yards on just seven carries, scoring on runs of nine and 83 yards. The 83-yard gallop was the longest run by a Mule in 30 years. Sophomore QB Nick Palladino (Millstone Twp., N.J.) threw for 229 yards and two scores, while junior WR Nick Lamb (Philadelphia, Pa.) caught five passes for 100 yards. Senior LB Ian Gimbar (Hellertown, Pa.) led the defense with eight tackles, while classmate Jeremey Thomas (Garfield, N.J.) added five stops, including a sack, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery. Susquehanna moved the ball to the Johns Hopkins' six-yard line with less than a minute to play but that was as close as the Crusaders came in a 27-20 loss to the #13 Blue Jays. QB Nick Crusco (Oak Ridge, N.J.) completed 23-of-37 passes for 302 yards – the fourth-highest single-game total by a Centennial freshman – and two TDs. WRs Denzell Walker (Baltimore, Md.) and Will Howell (Philadelphia, Pa.) each surpassed the 100-yard mark with 110 and 106 yards, respectively. Sophomore DB C.J. Ursinus used big plays to offset a 341-227 total yardage disadvantage and dispatch Gettysburg, 31-14. The Bear defense forced five Bullet turnovers, including a blocked punt, and scored on a 30-yard interception return by junior LB James Roccograndi (Dallas, Pa.). It is the third straight game in which the Bears have scored a defensive TD. Junior DE Steve Ambs (Pottstown, Pa.) recorded 13 tackles with three sacks and a fumble recovery. Senior QB Kevin Monahan (East Windsor, N.J.) threw for one score and ran for another. Ursinus won the time of possession battle, 35:22 to 24:38. |
