David Vidovic, Juniata
Sophomore, RB, 5-10, 200
Hohenfels, Germany / Hohenfels HS
Making his first career start, Vidovic rushed 34 times for 172 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Eagles' 41-35 victory at Gettysburg. He found paydirt on runs of 4, 1 and 3 yards.
CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nick Palladino, Muhlenberg
Senior, QB, 6-0, 209
Millstone Township, NJ / Allentown HS
Palladino tied a school record with five touchdown passes in the Mules' 42-13 win at McDaniel. He completed 17 of 23 passes for 243 yards in less than three quarters of action with scoring passes covering 3, 65, 37, 11 and 3 yards.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Pequannock, NJ / Pequannock HS
Foukas had three sacks among his seven tackles in the Diplomats' 34-12 victory against Ursinus. The Diplomats held the Bears to just 89 rushing and 291 total yards. 
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Jamie Sullivan, Johns Hopkins
Junior, PK, 5-11, 180
Lake Sherwood, CA / Oaks Christian HS 
Sullivan hit a key 50-yard field goal in the Blue Jays' 29-21 victory vs. Moravian. The kick is the third-longest in JHU history and one of just six in Centennial history of 50 yards or more. Sullivan's previous career long was 39 yards.

 

 

 

Dickinson / @WearinTheRedFB / The Devils lost at home to Susquehanna, 31-24. QB Billy Burger (Carlisle, PA / Carlisle) threw for 197 yards, including a 29-yard scoring strike to WR Jake Walbert (Sinking Spring, PA / Wilson), while also running for a 1-yard score. LB Jimmy Turner (Ridgefield, CT / Suffield Academy) had a game-high 13 tackles, including five for losses. DB Pat Irwin (Altoona, PA / Bishop Guilfoyle) had 12 tackles and an interception. RB Allen Walters (Charleston, SC / Porter Gaud) scored a touchdown in his second straight game.  

 

Franklin & Marshall / @FandMFootball / The Diplomats rebounded from a 9-0 deficit to defeat Ursinus, 34-12. QB Tanner Erisman (Washington Boro, PA / Penn Manor) ran for a game-high 74 yards and scored twice, while also throwing for 108 yards. PK Billy Zwicharowski (Magnolia, DE / Polytech) booted field goals of 38 and 30 yards. LB Luke Foukas (Pequannock, NJ / Pequannock) had three of the team's six sacks, while Joe Granahan (Garnet Valley, PA / Garnet Valley) had nine stops and 2.5 tackles for loss. Taylor Collison (Madisonburg, PA / Penns Valley) blocked a punt that was recovered by Tyler Schubert (Mechanicsburg, PA / Mechanicsburg) for a touchdown. RB Taalib Gerald (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ / Holy Spirit) has carried the ball 218 times in his three-year career without a fumble.

 

Gettysburg / @gburgbullets / The Bullets racked up 536 yards of total offense but came up on the short end of a 41-35 decision to Juniata. RB Justin Walsh (Northfield, NJ / Mainland Regional) rushed for 96 yards and caught passes for 68 more, as Gettysburg rushed for a season-high 335 yards. QB Danny Thompson (Oakland, NJ / Indian Hills) totaled two touchdowns and 160 total yards, while Justin Davidov (Ossining, NY / Ossining) finished with 134 total yards and a passing TD. LB Jake Skinner (Annapolis, MD / Broadneck) led the defense with 11 tackles.

 

Johns Hopkins / @JHU_Football / The Blue Jays outscored Moravian, 26-0, in the middle periods and hung on for a 29-21 victory. It is the 30th consecutive CC win for Hop and 34th straight regular-season triumph. QB Jon Germano (Hawthorne, NJ / Bergen Catholic) threw for 331 yards and two TDs. His 53 attempts tied the program single-game mark, while his 34 completions are a career high. WR Bradley Munday (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls) set a program and tied a Conference record with 16 receptions for 100 yards. WR Brett Caggiano (Willow Street, PA / Penn Manor) snared five passes for 101 yards and a score. PK Jamie Sullivan (Lake Sherwood, CA / Oaks Christian) booted a 50-yard field goal – the third-longest in JHU history and one of only six 50+ kicks in Centennial annals. DB Michael Curry (Millstone Twp., NJ / Allentown) had a pair of interceptions.

 

Juniata / @JuniataFootball / The Eagles are 3-0 after a 41-35 road win at Gettysburg. RB David Vidovic (Hohenfels, Germany / Hohenfels) carried 34 times for 172 yards with three TDs. It is the most carries by a Juniata back since Craig Moshier (38) in 2003. QB Hank Coyne (Royersford, PA / Spring-Ford) completed 21-of-29 passes for 282 yards. WR Kirby Breault (Elizabethtown, PA / Elizabethtown) grabbed 10 passes for 126 yards – his third straight 100-yard effort – while WR Aaron O'Brien (York, PA / York Catholic) also had six catches for 122 yards. DB Joel Reighard (Altoona, PA / Altoona) picked off his CC-leading fourth pass of the season in addition to recording 10 stops.  PK Kevin Bonalle (Lebanon, PA / Cedar Crest) is 15-of-15 on PATs. 

 

McDaniel / @McDanielFBall / The Green Terror dropped its home opener to Muhlenberg, 42-13. RB Perry Stefanelli (Rockville, MD / Good Counsel) scored on a 9-yard run, while QB Luke Lynes (Dillsburg, PA / Northern) tossed his first career TD pass, covering three yards to WR Britton Hastings (Shippensburg, PA / Shippensburg) – his first career touchdown catch. WR Andre Henry Jr. (Frederick, MD / Urbana) caught seven balls for 64 yards, while RB Matt Cathey (Brick, NJ / Brick Memorial) rushed for 70 yards. P Doug MacArthur (Roebling, NJ / Florence Twp. Memorial) leads the CC with six punts downed inside the 20.

 

Moravian / @MoravianFB / The Greyhounds spotted #11 Johns Hopkins a 29-6 lead before succumbing 29-21 in Baltimore. QB Mike Hayes (Philadelphia, PA/Chestnut Hill Academy) completed 26-of-55 passes for 265 yards and a touchdown. The 55 attempts set a program single-game record. RB Chris Negron (Allentown, PA/Freedom) had his third straight 100-yard game and 17th of his career with 119 yards on 21 carries. He broke the program career mark for all-purpose yards (4,363) set by Chris Jacoubs. Negron became the 11th Centennial back with 700+ career attempts (709) and is just 118 yards away from the Moravian career rushing record. LB Edward Delia (Lebanon, NJ / North Hunterdon) led the defense with 14 tackles.

 

Muhlenberg / @DigInMules / The Mules moved to 3-0 with a 42-13 win at McDaniel. QB Nick Palladino (Millstone Twp., NJ/Allentown) tied a school record with five TD passes while throwing for 243 yards. He has 11 touchdown passes in three games. WR Nick Lamb (Philadelphia, PA / Penn Charter) was on the receiving end of three of the scoring aerials. RB Nick Savant (Hellertown, PA/Saucon Valley) recorded his second straight 100-yard game with 110 on 19 carries and a 42-yard touchdown run. Matt Musilli (Wantagh, NJ / High Point Regional) led the defense with eight tackles, while DB Nate Corvil (Freehold, NJ / Freehold Twp.) intercepted a pass for the second straight week.

 

Susquehanna / @SURiverHawksFB / The River Hawks jumped out to a 31-10 lead and held off homestanding Dickinson, 31-24. QB Bobby Grigas (Frackville, PA / North Schuylkill) completed 14-of-22 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown while also running for another TD in his first collegiate start. Matt Thies (North Caldwell, NJ / West Essex) threw for one score and ran for another. WRs Tommy Bluj (Parsippany, NJ / Parsippany Hills) and Chris Beals (Downingtown, PA / Downingtown East) each went over 100 receiving yards with 121 and 100, respectively. LB Juwan Rodriguez (Upper Marlboro, MD / Eleanor Roosevelt) had 2.5 sacks among his eight tackles for the defense that held Dickinson to just 274 total yards.

 

Ursinus / @UrsinusFootball / The Bears jumped out to a 9-0 lead at Franklin & Marshall but could not hang on in a 34-12 defeat. PK Nicholas Ford (Edgewater Park, NJ / Burlington City) booted the first of his two 35-yard field goals for the early lead. DT Charles Anderson (Upper Chichester, PA / Northeast) forced a fumble that was recovered by Robert Glanville (Brigantine, NJ / Atlantic City). QB Tom Garlick (Quakertown, PA / Quakertown) scampered 30 yards for a touchdown for the nine-point advantage. DB Jack Spingler (Langhorne, PA / Neshaminy) led the defense with 10 tackles, while DB Heath Hidlay (Lewistown, PA / Mifflin County) forced a fumble and had two sacks.
