ABOUT THE CENTENNIAL-MAC BOWL SERIES
The Centennial Conference and the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced on Nov. 5, 2015 their partnership to hold two postseason football games between member institutions known as the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series. In the spring of 2018, the two conferences voted and approved an additional bowl game to increase the series to three games beginning in the fall of 2018. The Centennial-MAC Bowl Series is comprised of the top-three teams from each conference that are not selected to the NCAA Division III Championship.
The format for the Cenntnnial-MAC Bowl Series has adjusted for 2019. The No. 1 seeds will revert back to having host duties as they did through the first three years of the bowl series. The Centennial Conference's top seed will host the MAC's No. 2 seed, and the MAC's top seed will host the Centennial Conference's No. 2 seed. The two conference's No. 3 seeded teams will face each season, with the MAC hosting in odd years and the Centennial hosting in even years.
This season (2019), the bowl games are scheduled for Saturday, November 23. The MAC will have hosting duties for the No. 3 vs. No. 3 bowl game.
The two conferences will continue to support the NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) partnership with Special Olympics by donating 25 percent of ticket revenue generated during the Bowl Series to the organization. Giving back to local and regional communities not only adds to the comprehensive learning component of Division III, but also provides a venue for passion and service.
