Centennial Conference Unveils “TEAM UP” Initiative

The Centennial Conference has announced a basketball conference-wide social justice campaign, CC T.E.A.M. U.P. (Together Engaging Action Means Uniting in Purpose). Each conference team has created a T.E.A.M. U.P. initiative that includes volunteering or community outreach that can be performed throughout the remainder of the season, as well as a T.E.A.M. U.P. game day initiative that will happen on January 5-8, 2022.

The campaign was created in partnership with the Centennial Conference basketball coaching groups. Conference teams will collectively dedicate time this winter to promote inclusion and show unity and support for their campuses and communities. The goal of this initiative is to promote inclusion, dedicate resources to racial and social justice, and build partnerships with local community organizations.

Centennial basketball programs will also have the opportunity to participate in the anti-racism program titled “A Long Talk” with Kyle Williams. Participants will take part in reflective conversations centered on discussions about race, equity, and the history of racism in the United States and the impact it continues to have on our society today.
