Drew O’Hern, So, Franklin & Marshall

Drew O'Hern shaved six strokes off his first round 78 and shot a 72 in the second round to win the Giono Biondi Memorial Tournament hosted by Marywood. O'Hern joined two other Diplomats that finished in the top-5 and led the Diplomats to their fourth tournament title this fall.

Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week 10/16/18

Jared Berlin, Fr, Franklin & Marshall

Jared Berlin picked up a first, second and sixth place in three events over a seven-day span. Berlin and Justin Lankler tied for first after two rounds at the Ted Keller Invitational last Monday and Tuesday. However, Berlin recorded a birdie on the first playoff hole to pick up medalist honors. He ended with a two-day of 144 after firing rounds of 71 and 73 and picking up five birdies over two rounds. Berlin shot a two-day total of 142 to lead Franklin & Marshall to a second place finish at the Revolutionary Collegiate Classic on Sunday. Berlin shaved four strokes off his round one total of 73 with a 69 in Monday's round and tied Goucher's Julian Gonzalez. The tiebreaker was the back-nine total and Gonzalez's 33, just beat out Berlin's 35, to secure medalist honors. He ended his week by tying for sixth at the F&M Invitational on Monday. Berlin shot an even 71 at the Bent Creek Country Course.

 

Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week 10/9/18

Shawn MacBurnie, Sr, McDaniel
Beverly, Mass. / St. Mary's Lynn

MacBurnie led the Green Terror to a second-place finish at its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic on Saturday and Sunday. He posted a three-under par round of 69 on Sunday to finish the tournament with a one-under score of 143 and win the individual title by a stroke.

 

Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week 10/2/18

Jacob Liberman, Soph, Dickinson
Wayne, Pa. / Friends' Central

Liberman won the individual title at the Muhlenberg Invitational on Monday, carding a 72 to lead the Red Devils to a second-place finish in the 17-team event. 

 

Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week 9/25/18

Jared Berlin placed third to lead F&M to a second place finish at the Montgomery Cup. Berlin had a four-under 140 after firing rounds of 69 (three under) and 71 (one under) on the par-72, 6,805-yard course.

Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week 9/18/18

Danny Harcourt, Sr, Gettysburg
Fanwood, N.J. / Saint Peter's Prep

Harcourt opened his senior campaign with a bang, carding three rounds in the 60s and averaging 68.7 strokes per round. He opened the fall by tying his collegiate career low with a 68 on the way to medalist honors at the Dickinson Fall Invitational. The Bullets also won the team title at Dickinson. At the CMU Fall Shootout, Harcourt recorded back-to-back 69s to finish two-under and tied for third in a field of 82. Harcourt's performance helped Gettysburg establish a new single-round program record with a 286 on the second day at CMU.
