Johns Hopkins' Bartnett Named Field Athlete of the Week

Bartnett cleared 5.20m (17-00.75) in the pole vault to set a personal, school, and Centennial Conference record. The mark is the second-best this season in all of Division III.

 

Notebook:


Haverford freshman Daniel Sax won the triple jump (12.84m) in his first ever attempt in the event. It was the highest jump of the season for the men's indoor track and field team.

Bartnett finished second in the pole vault at the Ramapo College Indoor Select Meet after clearing a height of 4.90m (16-00.75). In four meets this season, he has yet to finish below second.

Schorsch broke the school record in the heptathlon at the Widener Field meet by notching 3,189 points. He most notably recorded top marks of 5-feet, 4.50-inches in the high jump and 3:06.33 in the 1,000-meter run.  He also set personal bests in the long jump (17-0), high jump, and shot put (33-2).

Kaiser won the long jump at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley College. He leaped 21-4 3/4 to beat out 12 other competitors and finish over three feet better than the event runner-up.

Kaiser posted a leap of 6.39 meters in the long jump to finish third among 38 competitors as Gettysburg opened the season at the Ursinus Bow-Tie Classic. He also came in 12th in a field 25 in the triple jump (12.12m). On the track, Kaiser placed 14th out of 62 competitors while clocking a time (7.31) that ranks him third in school history.
