Friend placed third in the 200-meters at the Princeton Invitational with a time of 22.46. The race featured 19 runners from primarily Division I schools. The time was the fastest in the conference this year.



Notebook:

Swarthmore senior Paul Green won the mile at Saturday's Keogh Invitational with a time of 4:22.63, the fifth-best indoor mark in the Centennial this year.

At the Keogh Invitational on Saturday, Haverford College freshman Liam Lynch finished first in the 200 meter out of 29 runners with a new personal best time of 22.90 seconds. Lynch was also part of the first place 4x400 men's relay team that finished in 3:29.75.

Gettysburg junior Ben Taber bested a field of 45 to take top honors in the mile at the Susquehanna Open on Saturday. Taber posted a personal best time of 4:25.49 to win the event by over three seconds and record the seventh-best time in program history. Taber also ran the anchor leg for the 4x400-meter relay which placed third in 3:49.94.

Marquardt finished the mile run with a time of 4:02.24 at the FastTrack National Invite on Friday. He finished in fifth place overall and first among Division III participants. Marquardt’s time marked a personal best and the fifth-best indoor time in Division III history.

Marquardt broke his own Centennial Conference record in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:06.56. That time also broke the school record set by Seamus McElligott '91. In addition to earning the fastest time in Division III for the second straight season, Marquardt's time ranks fourth in NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field history.

Marquardt was named the Performer of the Meet at the Seamus McElligott Invitational this past Saturday after a runner-up finish in the 800 meters. Marquardt's time of 1:54.70 was edged out of the top spot by just eighth-hundredths of a second and ranks sixth on the NCAA Division III performance list so far this season.

Ainsley won the 60m hurdles event with a time of 8.42 at the Collegeville Classic on Friday. The senior's time was one of the top times in the nation (T-19th) and the quickest in the Centennial Conference by .35 seconds. It was Ainsley's seventh career indoor hurdles crown.

Fong secured his first career individual crown at the Kutztown Invitational, setting a personal best in the mile (4:36.24). In a race that featured 26 runners, Fong crossed the finish line a second before the runner-up to win the title.

Manganaro turned in some strong performances to lead the Red Devils to the team title at the Early Bird Invitational. He won the 200 meters, ranking sixth in the CC with a time of 23.58. He added silver medals in the 55 meter dash (6.77) and the 4x400 relay (3:42.05). He dove across the finish line to claim second place points as the anchor of the 4x200 as well, clocking a time of 1:37.17.

Sprints

Ferguson made his collegiate debut Saturday at the Metro Holiday Season Opener on Staten Island. He set a Hopkins’ freshman record and fell just .01 second shy of the school record in the 60m sprint with a time of 6.96. He later competed in the 200m event, finishing in 22.21, the fourth-best time in Johns Hopkins history.
