Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - May 1, 2017

Lewis broke a 24-year-old F&M record on Friday at the prestigious Penn Relays in Philadelphia. The junior recorded a throw of 16.03 meters (52-7.25), taking 17th out of 44 in a field of primarily Division I competitors. He also put himself on the cusp of qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championships, as his effort is the 17th-best in all of DIII this season.

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – April 24, 2017

Michael Havkins, Jr, Muhlenberg College
Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan

Havkins won the discus by more than 12 feet at the Widener Invitational, throwing a personal-best 157-1. The mark is the best in the Centennial Conference this season and qualified Havkins for the IC4A meet.

 

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week – April 17, 2017

Andrew Bartnett, Sr, Johns Hopkins
St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs School

Andrew Bartnett recorded the third-best total among DIII athletes this season in the decathlon as he earned 6625 points in the Mt. SAC Relays/CA Invitational Multi Events. Bartnett improved from ninth to fourth in the field with first-place finishes in the pole vault and javelin throw. The senior vaulted 4.70m in the pole vault, and a career-best throw of 46.33m in the javelin.  


Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - April 10, 2017

Daniel Belkin, Soph, Swarthmore
Florence, Mass./Northampton

Daniel Belkin set the top mark in the Conference this year in the high jump with a 1.90m jump at West Chester on Saturday. He also had the second-longest conference long jump (6.11m).

 

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - April 3, 2017

Michael Havkins, Jr, Muhlenberg College
Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan

Havkins won the discus at the Muhlenberg Invitational with a throw of 156-7, the best mark by a Mule in 31 years and more than 11 feet better than his previous personal record. The distance is the best in the CC this season by 10 feet and the 14th-best in Division III.

 

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week - March 27, 2017

Lewis tallied a trio of victories in the throwing events on Saturday at the Little Three Meet. In the shot put, his distance of 15.09 meters was the only throw longer than 13 meters, while he also earned victory in the discus with a toss of 43.17 meters, more than five meters ahead of the competition. He rounded out his day in the hammer throw, once again taking gold with a mark of 43.73 meters.
