Taylor Harcum, Player of the Week

Taylor Harcum, Player of the Week

Junior pitcher/outfielder Taylor Harcum (Hebron, Md./Mardela) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for softball for the week of April 24-30.  This is the second straight week Harcum has garnered the player of the week award.

Harcum hit .857 (6-for-7) with three runs scored and four RBI as the Shorewomen swept Franklin & Marshall, 6-2 and 10-1, on Saturday.  She drove in a career-high four runs in the nightcap that allowed Washington to remain alive for the top seed in the Conference playoffs.  The Shorewomen ended up earning the two seed and will travel to top seed McDaniel for the conference tournament this weekend.

This is the fifth time this season she has won one of the two weekly conference awards in softball, with her first three being the conference's pitcher of the week which she earned on March 6, April 3 and April 17.  She has been the recipient of either the pitcher or player of the week four times in the past five weeks.  The junior has won all five of her weekly awards this season.
