Caroline Murphy led Gettysburg to its first Centennial Conference women's basketball title last week. The junior forward posted 15 points and eight rebounds as the Bullets knocked off Johns Hopkins 56-43 in the opening round. In the championship game against Swarthmore, Murphy posted 15 of her game-high 19 points in the second half to lead Gettysburg to a 48-46 win. For the week, she averaged 17 points and six rebounds per game.

Centennial Notebook

Gettysburg claimed its first Centennial Conference title last week. The Bullets defeated Johns Hopkins 56-43 before holding off Swarthmore 48-46 in the title game. Gettysburg will make its fifth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and first since 2010 when it advanced to the Sweet 16. 

In the final outing of her accomplished career, Dominique Meeks paced the Fords with 16 points and seven rebounds in the loss to Johns Hopkins. Ranking first in program history in steals, Meeks also graduates second in points and rebounds.

Swarthmore junior Katie Lytle earned her 19th and 20th double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Mulenberg and 15 points and 13 rebounds in the title game loss to Gettysburg. Sophomore Elle Larsen added 20 points and nine rebounds - collecting 14 points in the first half in the game Friday evening.

Johns Hopkins senior Alex Vassila scored eight points and added 11 rebounds in the loss to Gettysburg, finishing her career as the only player in Hopkins history to record 1,000 points, 800 rebounds and 200 blocks. Vassila also earned a double-double in the opening round of the Conference tournament with 16 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Haverford.

Three players for the Mules finished in double-figures led by a double-double from Alita Zabrecky (11 points and 10 rebounds). Kate Clawson and Hannah Rush each collected 10 points in the loss to Swarthmore Friday evening.
