Wyant came off the bench to average 13.5 points in a 2-0 week for the Fords. Wyant's career-high 20 points in an overtime victory against rival Swarthmore helped Haverford clinch the top seed in the upcoming Centennial tournament.


 

 

 

 

Notes:

Last week, Franklin & Marshall senior Kristina McCarthy averaged 14.0 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game. She tallied 15 points against Gettysburg and then notched 13 points in a win against Dickinson to go along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Against the Bullets, McCarthy recorded her 13th double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Gettysburg senior Caroline Murphy averaged 14 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Bullets. She scored 24 points and tied a school record with 12 made free throws in a 64-55 victory at F&M on Feb. 19. She was a perfect 12-for-12 from the line in the game and posted her third consecutive 20-point outing, the longest 20-point streak since 2005-06.

Johns Hopkins sophomore Katie Clark scored a team-high 20 points in her team's 66-58 overtime win over Washington College on Feb. 22. She also scored 10 points with three assists against McDaniel on Feb. 19.

McDaniel junior Steph Perez led the Green Terror to #2 seed in CC tournament with 2-0 week. She canned five 3-pointers to break career (148) and single-season (59) program records. 

Muhlenberg senior Erin Laney averaged 13.5 points on 75-percent shooting from the field to lead Muhlenberg to a pair of wins, which clinched a home playoff game. She scored 10 points in only 21 minutes in a 68-34 win against Dickinson and dropped in a game-high 17 in a 76-66 defeat of Ursinus. Laney also averaged 5.5 rebounds in the two games.

Swarthmore senior Kayla Moritzky most notably broke Swarthmore's all-time assists record which had stood unchallenged for 27 years while leading the Garnet to a 1-1 week. She first matched a career high with 21 points and also dished out seven assists in an 80-67 victory over Washington College. The senior then hit a 3-pointer to force overtime and finished with seven assists in a 67-59 loss to Haverford. Moritzky ended the regular season with 350 career assists, which surpassed the mark of 345 set by Maggie Dougherty in 1987.

Washington College junior Emily Hubley averaged 20 points per game and 6.5 rebounds for the Shorewomen this past week.  She scored a career-high 24 points and pulled down eight rebounds, both game-highs, against Johns Hopkins on February 22.  She scored 11 points in the first half and all six points in overtime.  At Swarthmore, she netted a team-high 16 points and handed out three assists.

Jessica Porada, So, Ursinus

Porada scored a career high (31 points) against Washington, making 63.6 percent of her shots on the week and keeping Ursinus alive in the playoff race.

In two games (both wins), Porada averaged 16.5 points per game and 13.5 rebounds per game. She shot 61.5 percent from the field.

Leanna Tallamy, Jr, Muhlenberg

Tallamy averaged 23.0 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 53.8 percent from the field to lead the Mules to two CC wins. She scored 19 points in a 48-35 win at Dickinson and poured in 27, a career high for a CC game, to go along with a career-high four steals in a 60-59 defeat of McDaniel. Two of her steals, as well as five of her points, came in the last five minutes as Muhlenberg pulled out the last-second win.

Leanna Tallamy, Jr, Muhlenberg

 Tallamy averaged 20.5 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 51.9 percent from the field as the Mules won a pair of CC road games. She scored a game-high 25 points in 27 minutes at Ursinus and added a team-high 16 points, including two big baskets down the stretch, as Muhlenberg handed Johns Hopkins its first CC loss of the season.

Katie Clark, So, Johns Hopkins

Clark led Hopkins in scoring in wins over Dickinson and Ursinus this past week, helping the Blue Jays stay undefeated in the Centennial Conference (9-0) and get off to their best start since the 1997-98 season. Clark had a career-high 20 points in the team's victory over Dickinson on January 16, and made crucial free throws down the stretch to hold off Ursinus 71-67 Saturday afternoon.

Kristina McCarthy, Sr, Franklin & Marshall

Kristina McCarthy scored a career-high 23 points against Swarthmore on Jan. 8 and followed it by scoring 21 on Jan. 11 at Washington. McCarthy notched 21 rebounds in the game against Swarthmore, and brought down 10 rebounds against Washington, which resulted in two double-double last week and five straight on the season.

Katie Lytle, Sr, Swarthmore

Senior Katie Lytle led Swarthmore to a 97-80 road victory over Cal Tech by racking up 22 points on efficient shooting from the field as well as 24 rebounds, which matched a Centennial Conference single-game record. Lytle also recorded her 41st career double-double before halftime by accumulating 12 points and 15 boards over the first 20 minutes of play. She also contributed three assists, three steals and two blocks in the game while shooting an efficient 58.8 percent from the field (10-for-17) and a perfect 2-for-2 from the line.

Caroline Murphy, Sr, Gettysburg

Murphy averaged 11.5 points per game as Gettysburg finished 1-1 at the Daytona Beach Shootout. In a 55-42 win over Benedictine (Ill.), she scored 16 points and grabbed six rebounds while shooting 5-for-10 from the field and 5-for-5 at the foul line. Murphy finished 7-for-7 at the charity stripe for the week.

Katie Lytle, Sr, Swarthmore

Lytle poured in 23 points and collected 10 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season in a loss to Widener. She connected on 11-of-18 shots from the floor and added three assists and two steals.

Katie Lytle, Sr, Swarthmore

Katie Lytle led the Garnet to a 2-1 week, including 1-1 in conference play, by averaging 19.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 63.6 percent from the field. She led the team in scoring, rebounding, steals and field goal percentage and was second on the squad in assists. Lytle started the week by racking up 20 points, eight rebounds and six steals while shooting 8-for-11 from the field in just 21 minutes of action in an 85-26 rout of Bryn Mawr. She also contributed 19 points, eight rebounds and four steals against Johns Hopkins before concluding the week with 18 points and seven boards in a road win over Dickinson.

Nina Voith, Sr, Haverford,

Voith's career-high 27 points against Muhlenberg helped the Fords upend previously undefeated Muhlenberg on its home floor -- a place where Haverford had registered just one previous win in program history. The senior guard, who just missed a double-double with nine rebounds, moved into third place on the program's all-time scoring list with the sensational effort that included an 11-for-12 performance from the free throw line.

Leanna Tallamy, Jr, Muhlenberg

Tallamy averaged 20.0 points and 8.5 rebounds and made important plays as Muhlenberg opened its CC season with two overtime wins. She contributed to six of the Mules' 10 points in the extra period against Swarthmore with three points and an assist, and her three-point play with 1:04 left in overtime accounted for what proved to be the winning points against Washington.

Katie Lytle, Sr, Swarthmore

Katie Lytle was named the MVP of the 13th Annual Swarthmore Tip-Off Tournament and became the ninth player in program history to score at least 1,000 points in her career after leading the Garnet to a 2-0 start with wins over Kean, 59-42, and Connecticut College by a 58-55 score. Lytle, who registered a double-double in both games, most notably racked up 29 points, 14 rebounds and five steals in the championship battle against Connecticut College. All three marks against the Camels were game highs.
