Two Caroline Shimrock free throws and a Gianna Pownall layup evened the game at 67-all with 3:26 before Perez responded with a triple in the left corner for her fourth 3-pointer of the game to put the hosts in front for good.

A March layup off the 10th of Brittney Davis' (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) assists stretched the lead to five before Perez canned a pair of free throws with 1:22 on the clock for a 74-67 lead.

Shimrock drained a 3-pointer to trim the deficit to four but McDaniel hit eight of its 10 free-throw attempts in the final 1:05 to secure its seventh straight win to start the season.

After a first 15 minutes that featured eight ties and six lead changes, Adienne Cellicci converted a three-point play to tie the game and then give Ursinus a 19-18 lead with 5:23 showing.

Four straight points from Porada and a Cellucci layup stretched the advantage to seven with 3:05 to play in the first half.

Two Rachel Guy free throws made it a 31-23 game before Jasmine Smith (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore Polytechnic Institute) hit a pair of her own from the charity stripe to close the deficit to six at the break.

McDaniel tallied eight of the first 10 points in the second half to even the game at 33-all before the two teams traded leads nine more times over the next four minutes.

Clinging to a 48-47 lead, Perez hit a layup with 11:10 on the clock to spark a 9-0 burst that stretched the lead to double digits just 79 seconds later.

The Green Terror led by as many as 12 before the Bears rallied to even the game in the final four minutes.

Davis' 10 helpers were the most by a McDaniel player since 2011 while the two players to score 20 points was a first in known history.
