LANCASTER, Pa. – Sophomore Emma Dorshimer (Jenkintown, Pa./Jenkintown) was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the second time in her career on Monday.
 
Dorshimer averaged 20 points and six rebounds per game as Gettysburg scored a pair of wins over conference foes. In a 63-50 triumph over McDaniel College, she posted 10 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. The sophomore guard dropped a career-high 30 points in a 76-68 decision against Washington College, becoming the first Bullet in seven years to score 30 or more points in a game.
 
For the week, Dorshimer canned 14-of-28 (50 percent) shots, including 5-of-12 (41.7 percent) from beyond the arc. She also hit all seven of her free throws.
 
Dorshimer earned her first weekly award from the conference on Dec. 14, 2015.
 
On the year, the sophomore sits tied with teammate Emily Gibbons (Annapolis, Md./Severn School) for the scoring lead in the conference at 17.8 points per game. She is also averaging 6.0 rebounds per game and is leading the Centennial in free throw percentage at 89.9 percent.
 
Gettysburg (12-4, 8-3 CC) entertains Franklin & Marshall College (7-9, 5-6 CC) this Thursday at 6 p.m.
