Samantha Sessa, Gettysburg

Sophomore Samantha Sessa (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) scooped up her sixth career weekly accolade from the Centennial Conference after taking medalist honors at the Gettysburg College Invitational over the weekend.
 
Sessa, who was named CC Golfer of the Week twice during the fall, posted a 79 to win the Gettysburg Invitational at the Hanover Country Club by four strokes. She was the top finisher in a field of 43 that included players from six Centennial teams. Sessa secured the win by shooting one-over on the back nine on the strength of six pars and a birdie on the par-five 12th hole.
 
The victory was the 10th of Sessa's career, which moved her into second place on Gettysburg's all-time list. She also tied the program standard with her eighth round in the 70s.
 
Sessa has won four events this season and leads the conference with a scoring average of 79.9.
