Moriarty, Dolan Named Players of the Week

Paige Moriarty, Franklin & Marshall; Caroline Dolan, Muhlenberg

Franklin & Marshall attack Paige Moriarty was named the Centennial Conference (CC) Offensive Player of the Week for women's lacrosse announced on Monday. The honor is the first for Moriarty this season and the second for a member of the women's lacrosse team.

Moriarty (Glen Ridge, N.J. / Glen Ridge HS) scored seven goals and handed out nine assists in a 2-0 week for the second-ranked Diplomats. She tallied three goals with six helpers in F&M's 14-4 victory over Denison on Thursday. Later on Thursday, the sophomore converted all four shots into goals and dished out three assists in a 20-6 win over Plymouth State.

Freshman Caroline Dolan of the Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team was named defensive player of the week by the Centennial Conference.

Dolan recorded nine ground balls, six draw controls and three caused turnovers as the Mules recorded come-from-behind wins against Lebanon Valley, 18-11, and Montclair State, 11-7, to set the program record for best start (6-0). She played a major role for a Muhlenberg defense that allowed a combined six second-half goals in the two games. Dolan caused three turnovers and scooped up four ground balls in the second half alone vs. Montclair.

For the season, Dolan leads the Mules and is tied for third in the CC with 17 ground balls. She also has caused six turnovers for a stingy defense that has allowed only 6.67 goals per game.
