Krupnick tallied four caused turnovers and added four ground balls in a 12-5 win over Swarthmore as the Fords held their Hood Trophy rivals to their lowest goal total in the series since 1993.

Danielle Harrington went 2-0 last week in the cage for F&M with 16 saves. Harrington turned away eight shots in the win over McDaniel and send the week and turned away eight shots with four ground balls against Washington.

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 4/16/18
Isabella Richardson,  Jr, GK, Washington College
Potomac, Md./Stone Ridge School of Sacred Heart
Stopped 14 shots in a 10-8 win over Muhlenberg on Wednesday night as she turned away seven shots in each half against a Muhlenberg squad that had scored 14 or more goals in four of its prior five games entering the game. With Washington ahead by two with 42 seconds left she ended Muhlenberg's hopes with a save and the Shorewomen ran out the clock. Washington is 5-0 in Centennial play for the first time since 2003.

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 4/9/18
Danielle Harrington, Sr, GK, Franklin & Marshall
Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge
Danielle Harrington had a career-high 19 saves to lead No. 10 Franklin & Marshall to an 8-4 victory over No. 1 Gettysburg on Wednesday. She finished the the week 2-0 in net.

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 4/2/18
Bailey Pilder, Jr, GK, Gettysburg
New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan
Pilder allowed only five goals while making 18 saves in a 2-0 week for the top-ranked Bullets. The junior goalie opened the week with a career-high 13 saves as the Bullets took down No. 4 TCNJ 9-5 in a rematch of the 2017 national title game. It was Gettysburg's largest margin of victory in the 18-year rivalry with the Lions. Pilder posted five more saves without allowing a goal in the opening 30 minutes of a 14-5 win over Muhlenberg. For the week, she posted a GAA of 3.33 and save percentage of .783.

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 3/26/18
Rachel Romens, Sr, GK, Haverford
Verona, Wisc./Verona
Romens improved to 5-0 between the pipes with an 11-save effort against McDaniel. The 11 saves were a career-high for the senior. Romens also caused a turnover for the first time in her career and was also awarded a ground ball for her effort. 

 

Women’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 3/19/18
Bailey Pilder, Jr, GK, Gettysburg
New Canaan, Conn. / New Canaan
Pilder set a personal high with 11 saves and tied her career high with three ground balls in top-ranked Gettysburg's 12-4 win at No. 6 Mary Washington. For the first time this season, Pilder stood between the pipes for all 60 minutes and she set an early tone with seven stops in the opening half. On the year, the junior has recorded a 2.22 GAA and .742 save percentage.

 

 

Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 3/12/18
Sarah Svetec, Jr., M, Haverford
Lititz, Pa. / Manheim Township
Svetec had an all-around performance against Cabrini, scooping four ground balls, causing a turnover and winning five draw controls on the afternoon. All of the marks were career bests for the junior. 

 

Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 3/5/18
Isabella Richardson, Jr, GK, Washington College
Potomac, Md. / Stone Ridge School of Sacred Heart
Went 2-0 with a .619 save percentage and a 8.00 goals against average in her first two career starts. Made 16 saves in the team's season opening 10-8 win over Albright on Wednesday night and turned away 10 shots in the Shorewomen's 10-8 comeback win over Lynchburg as she allowed just one goal in the second half and made three saves to help with the comeback. Richardson also picked up three ground balls.  

 

Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week 2/26/18
Tara Cassidy, Jr, D, Dickinson
Glen Rock, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy
Cassidy anchored a solid defensive effort in the season opening win at Lebanon Valley on Saturday. The junior caused three turnovers and controlled five ground balls.
