Cunningham had an impressive week in goal for the Bullets as she stopped six shots against Johns Hopkins and turned aside a career-high eight against Dickinson.

Defensive Player of the Week 10/22/18

Katherine Carstensen, Fr, McDaniel

Carstensen made nine saves in a 2-0 week in goal. She made two stops in a 4-0 shutout win over Catholic on Tuesday before notching seven saves in a 4-1 win over Muhlenberg on Saturday.

 

Defensive Player of the Week 10/15/18

Libby Juliano, Jr, Muhlenberg
Chadds Ford, Pa. / The Tatnall School (Del.)

Juliano compiled a 0.45 goals-against average and .947 save percentage in a 1-0-1 week for the Mules. She recorded eight saves in a 1-0 shutout at Ursinus, including one on a penalty kick in the second half to preserve the lead. She also stopped a season-high 10 shots in a 1-1 tie at Gettysburg.

 

Defensive Player of the Week 10/8/18

Lindsay Wytkind, Jr, Haverford

Junior co-captain Lindsay Wytkind was part of a back line which conceded just seven combined shots on goal during a pair of shutouts in Centennial Conference play against Ursinus (W, 2-0) and Gettysburg (T, 0-0). Starting every game at center back this season, Wytkind has helped the Fords go 6-1-1 during their last eight games with five shutouts over that span.

 

Defensive Player of the Week 10/1/18

Cristina Madalo, Sr, Johns Hopkins
Murietta, Calif. / Murietta Valley

Madalo was a leader on the defensive side of the ball as Johns Hopkins notched two shutout victories this week. Madalo's defensive play was a big part of Hopkins allowing just five shots on goal in two games. She played excellent defense both on and off the ball and made numerous plays to deny scoring opportunities. 

 

Defensive Player of the Week 9/24/18

Mary Katherine Brosnan, Sr, Dickinson
Old Tappan, N.J. / Northern Valley Old Tappan

Brosnan turned away four shots to record her fifth shutout of the season as the Red Devils posted a 1-0 win over Muhlenberg on Saturday. Brosnan leads the Centennial Conference with five shutouts and ranks second in save percentage and goals against average.

 

Defensive Player of the Week 9/17/18

Robyn Lipschultz, Jr, Johns Hopkins
Wayzata, Minn. / The Blake School

Robyn Lipschutz made ten saves against #4 TCNJ on Wednesday night as she played a key role in the Blue Jays 1-0 win over the Lions. She made numerous key saves throughout the game to keep TCNJ scoreless, especially in the second half when she had eight saves to keep Hopkins in the lead and eventually pull away with the victory. 

 

Defensive Player of the Week 9/10/18

Annalie Buscarino, So, GK, Washington College
Centereach, N.Y. / Centereach

Buscarino posted six saves for her first career shutout in a 2-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Saturday afternoon. Made four saves in the first half and two in the second half.

 

Defensive Player of the Week 9/4/18

Sabrina Doherty, So, GK, Ursinus
Odenton, Md. / Arundel

Doherty logged a pair of shutouts as the Bears opened with a win at Keystone and a draw at Lebanon Valley. Doherty stopped the only shot on her frame against Keystone and added 12 saves to keep the Dutchmen at bay.
