Offensive Player of the Week 10/29/18

Rachel Jackson was a key contributor in helping the Blue Jays conclude the regular season with a 14 game winning streak and an undefeated Centennial Conference record. The freshman tallied the game-winning goal in overtime against Gettysburg on Wednesday and added two more goals and an assist in the 5-0 victory on the road against Franklin & Marshall, giving her three goals and seven points during the week. The Vienna, VA native is now tied for the conference lead with 25 points and is tied for third with 10 goals.

Co-Offensive Players of the Week 10/22/18

Michelle Santangelo, Sr, Johns Hopkins
West Babylon, N.Y. / Saint Anthony's

Michelle Santangelo scored her second hat trick of the season as the #4 Johns Hopkins women's soccer team won its 12th straight game and 19th straight Centennial Conference regular season match with a 5-1 victory over Ursinus on Saturday. Santangelo now has a team-leading 10 goals this season and is second on the team with 21 points. She ranks second in the conference in goals and fourth in points. The hat trick was the fifth of her career which ties the program record for hat tricks in a career. 

Maddie Schwartz, So, McDaniel
Lancaster, Pa. / Hempfield

Schwartz led the Green Terror to a 2-0 week with three goals and two assists. She tallied a goal and an assist in a 4-0 win over Catholic on Tuesday before adding two goals and an assist in a crucial conference win at Muhlenberg on Saturday.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 10/15/18

Ally Diez, So, Dickinson
Rockville Center, N.Y. / South Side

Diez scored a pair of goals, netting the game-winner in overtime to lead the Red Devils past Widener University. She tallied the first goal of the match in the Devils' 3-1 win over Bryn Mawr on Saturday.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 10/8/18

Hannah Schepers, Fr, McDaniel
Port Deposit, Md. / St. Mark's

Schepers led the Green Terror to a 2-0 week with a 4-0 win over Franklin & Marshall and an 8-1 win over Bryn Mawr. The freshman recorded hat tricks in both games for a six-goal week.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 10/1/18

Emily Maheras, Jr, Johns Hopkins
Bernardsville, N.J. / Bernards

Maheras had the game-winning goals in both of the Blue Jay victories this week. Her penalty kick goal at 15:20 proved to be the only goal of the game as Hopkins shutout Penn St. Berks, 1-0. She also broke the scoreless tie in Saturday's victory over Haverford with a goal at 54:42. 

Offensive Player of the Week 9/24/18

Santangelo recorded her first hat trick of the season against the previously undefeated Washington College Shorewomen on Saturday night. The hat trick is the fourth of her career which is one away from tying the JHU record for hat tricks in a career. On the season Santangelo now has five goals and 11 points which rank third on the team and fourth in the conference.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 9/17/18

Erin O'Reilly, Fr, Washington College
Northborough, Mass. / Algonquin Regional

O'Reilly had five points on two goals and one assist and factored in on both game-winning goals for the Shorewomen in a 2-0-0 week as the team is 4-0-0 for the first time in program history. On Saturday at Gettysburg in the team's first-ever win over the Bullets, 3-2, she scored the game-winning goal with 7:11 remaining in the match. On Wednesday at Hood in a 2-1 win, she scored the match-tying goal and had an assist on the winning score in the 81st minute.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 9/10/18

Marin McCoy, Sr, F, Swarthmore
Denver, Colo. / Colorado Academy

Marin McCoy earned Offensive MVP honors at the Stevens Engineering Cup after helping Swarthmore to a pair of wins. In a 2-1 win over Vassar, McCoy had both of Swarthmore's goals and then had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 win over NYU.

 

Offensive Player of the Week 9/4/18

Maggie Coulson, Jr, M, Johns Hopkins
Pittsburgh, Pa. / Fox Chapel

Maggie Coulson scored twice in both of the Johns Hopkins women's soccer games this weekend as the Blue Jays opened the season 2-0 with wins over Washington and Lee and Shenandoah. Coulson scored her four goals on seven shots and her four goals and eight points leads the Centennial Conference.
