The Dickinson women's soccer team scored with just over a minute to play in the second overtime to top Haverford College, 2-1, in the first round of the Centennial Conference Championship. The Red Devils advance to the semifinals and travel to top-seed Johns Hopkins for a 1:00 pm kick-off on Saturday.

Play went from end to end for almost the entire match. The Red Devils held a slim advantage in shots in the first half, but it was the 'Fords who would take a 1-0 lead into the break.

Mia Reyes capitalized on some chaos in front of the goal as she would finish with assists from Hannah Krapes and Kendra Griesman, with just 2:29 on the clock.

The Red Devils used a great build to create their first tally of the night. Sophomore Ally Diez (New York, N.Y./South Side) dished off an assist to classmate Tara Dedrickson (Pasadena, Md./Chesapeake) in the 61st minute to pull Dickinson level.

The teams continued to battle over the final 29 minutes and through the first overtime with no result.

The match was headed to penalty kicks but Dedrickson would come up huge, finishing on ball served in by junior Elizabeth Krause (West Chester, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) to send the Red Devils into the semifinals.

The Red Devils held a significant edge in the second half, getting off seven shots while keeping Haverford from getting any quality looks.

The Red Devils tallied the only shot in overtime on Dedrickson's goal and finished with a 13-4 advantage for the match. They forced eight corners while allowing just four from Haverford.

Julie Hanns finished with six saves as Haverford finished the year 8-6-3.

Senior Mary Katherine Brosnan (Old Tappan, N.J./Northern Valley Old Tappan) was credited with just one save but was very active in nets for the Red Devils, knocking away crosses behind solid defensive play from her back line.

The Red Devils improve to 11-3-4 on the season. They will now face the top-seeded Blue Jays in Saturday's first semifinal match-up at 1 pm in Baltimore.
