Women’s Swimmer of the Week - February 6, 2017

Lyman continued to be a force in the distance events and posted five wins in two meets. She had a triple-win on Saturday, claiming the 1,000, 500 and 200-yard freestyle events with times of 10:38.09, 5:19.84 and 2:00.10, respectively. On Wednesday at Gettysburg, she won the 500 (5:15.02) and placed second in the 200 free with a mark of 1:59.78. She added another win with the 200 free relay (1:45.41).

Women’s Swimmer of the Week - January 30, 2017

Colleyville, Texas/Colleyville Heritage

Cushing, a freshman, had the freestyle trifecta, winning the 200-, 500- and 1,000-yard races at Gettysburg. Cushing took the 200 in 1:59.05, the 500 in 5:18.92 and the 1,000 in 10:49.44.

 

Women's Swimmer of the Week - January 23, 2017

Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra

 Lyons was part of four victories in Saturday's win over F&M. She took first place in the 100 back (1:00.75), the 200 back (2:12.60), and the 200 IM (2:16.92) and contributed to the victorious 200 medley relay as the Bears stretched their CC winning streak to 29.


Women's Swimmer of the Week - January 16, 2017

Lyman had another strong performance, winning three individual events at McDaniel College on Saturday. She claimed both distance events, capturing the 1,000 freestyle (10:57.27) and the 500 free (5:27.22), and also touched the wall first in the 200 freestyle with a mark of 2:00.30.

Women's Swimmer of the Week - December 5, 2016

Jenni Clune's winning time of 1:05.33 in the 100 breaststroke at the Yellow Jacket Invitational broke the Centennial Conference record of 1:05.41 set by Caroline Moyer of Gettysburg this past February and the school record of 1:05.82 set by Margaret Klag in 2004. She was also third in the 100 freestyle in 53.03 to become the Shorewomen's third fastest swimmer ever in that event, and fourth in the 200 individual medley in 2:12.40. She led off the 200 freestyle relay with a 25.11 leg to tie for the Shorewomen's seventh spot on their all-time fastest list for the 50 freestyle. She swam on two second-place relay teams and one third-place relay team at the meet. The Shorewomen finished second in the team standings.

Women's Swimmer of the Week - November 21, 2016

Lyman had another strong meet, winning both distance events against Division II Bloomsburg, clocking a time of 19:33.66 in the 1000 freestyle and posting a mark of 5:11.77 in the 500 free. She led-off the 200 free relay for a second place finish with a mark of 1:44.22.

Women's Swimmer of the Week - November 14, 2016

Caroline Moyer, Sr, Gettysburg
Malvern, Pa./Great Valley

Moyer had a hand in three victories as Gettysburg swept Messiah (154-107) and Susquehanna (145-116) in a non-conference meet. She swam the breaststroke leg of the winning 200-medley relay team (1:51.03) before capturing the 100-breaststroke (1:08.21) and the 200-breaststroke (2:30.76). Moyer's efforts helped the Bullets improved to 4-0 on the season.


Women's Swimmer of the Week - November 7, 2016

Julia Portmann, So, Washington College
Palatine, Ill./William Fremd

In a 134-128 loss to Gettysburg Saturday, Portmann won three individual events for the Shorewomen and led off the winning 400 freestyle relay. She won the 200 freestyle (2:00.07), 500 freestyle (5:23.95), and 1000 freestyle (11:11.59). In the 400 freestyle relay, she teamed with Lindsay Wiecki, Mackenzie Gaze, and Katie Gorman to win in 3:44.98.

 

Women's Swimmer of the Week - October 31, 2016

Lyman had a strong start to the season, winning three events against the defending conference champion Ursinus on Saturday. She posted three individual wins, claiming the 1000 freestyle (10:37.49), the 500 free (5:16.45) and the 200 free in 1:58.32.
