Chen led the Blue Jays to a 2-1 weekend against ranked opponents in Fredericksburg, Va., at the Blue-Grey Invitational. She went 2-1 at #2 singles and 3-0 at #2 doubles in matches versus #29 TCNJ (5-4), #1 Williams (3-6) and #17 Skidmore (8-1). Chen won 8-4 in doubles before losing 6-2, 6-4 versus the Lions. She followed that with a three-set win in singles and an 8-6 win in doubles versus the defending NCAA champion Ephs. Chen closed out the weekend with another three-set win in singles and an 8-2 win in doubles versus the Thoroughbreds.

Bashaw went a perfect 8-0 as Ursinus won all four of its matches during its spring trip to Florida. Bashaw, who played at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, did not drop a single set in her eight combined matches. Ursinus went 4-0 in Florida, including a 7-2 triumph over Lake Forest, ranked No. 20 in the Central Region.

Gradiska picked up wins at the top of both lineups in Gettysburg's spring debut against Carroll. She earned an 8-4 win at first doubles and bounced back from a first-set loss for a 3-6, 6-4, 10-2 win at first singles.

April Weaver went 2-0 at No. 1 singles last week, including a win over a nationally-ranked player. Weaver, ranked 20th in the Atlantic South region, upset Mary Washington's Shelby Harris, 6-3, 7-6(4), in the Shorewomen's season-opening 7-2 loss to the nationally-ranked Eagles Thursday. Harris is ranked 10th in the region and 41st in all of Division III in singles. On Sunday, Weaver scored a 6-0, 7-6(2) victory at No. 1 in Washington's 8-1 victory at St. Mary's.
