JHU's Pollock Named ITA Women's Division III Coach of the Year

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins' Dan Pollock has been named the Women's Division III Coach of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) it was announced today.
 
Pollock, who earned Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors this spring, led Hopkins to one of the best seasons in program history. In just his second season at Homewood. He guided the Blue Jays to a 21-4 record, their 16th straight Centennial Conference title and a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals. JHU's quarterfinals' appearance is the first since 2017 and fifth all-time. The 21 wins are the most since 2014 and the second most in JHU history.
 
Pollock coached an ITA All-American doubles team, two College Sports Communicators Academic All-Americans, the Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In addition, eight Blue Jays earned All-Centennial Conference honors. Graduate student Anjali Devireddy was also named one of four finalists for the ITA Sally Ride STEM Award.
 
Pollock is the first coach in Johns Hopkins history to earn ITA National Coach of the Year honors.
