Maggie O’Neil had the furthest shot put throw in the conference this year with a throw of 12.82 meters at the Lions Invitational.

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week  – April 24, 2017

Alyssa Ward, Jr, Franklin & Marshall
Teaneck, N.J./Tabor Academy

Ward performed well in all three jumping events on Saturday at the All-American Meet, highlighted by a second-place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 11.50 meters (37'-8.75"). Her height of 1.58 meters (5'-2.25") was good for third in the high jump, and her distance of 4.81 meters (15'-9.5") was good for sixth in the long jump.

 

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week – April 17, 2017

Kendra Meredith, Jr, Gettysburg
Boyds, Md./Northwest

Meredith placed third among 17 Division I, II, and III competitors in the long jump at the Chester Quarry Classic, hosted by Widener University. She sailed 17-1 1/4 and was the top Division III finisher, placing behind only a Division II and Division I competitor. Her jump ranks her 10th in school history.

Women’s Field Co-Athletes of the Week – April 10, 2017

Rikka Olson, Sr, Dickinson
Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt
Olson won the pole vault at the Messiah Invitational, clearing the bar at 3.45 meters. She claimed her second outdoor title of the outdoor season.

Alyssa Ward, Jr, Franklin & Marshall
Teaneck, N.J./Tabor Academy
Ward again led the Diplomats in the field at the Delaware Open on Saturday, winning the triple jump (10.98 meters) and taking third in the high jump (1.55 meters) against competition from across Divisions I-III.

 

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week - April 3, 2017

Michelle Gaykowski, Sr, Muhlenberg College
Lebanon Twp., N.J./Voorhees

Gaykowski broke her own school record in the discus at the Muhlenberg Invitational, throwing 140-1. The mark is the best in the Mideast Region by almost 15 feet and the 10th-best in Division III this season. Gaykowski finished third behind the two-time Division III discus champion and a Division I thrower.

 

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week - March 27, 2017

Michelle Gaykowski, Sr, Muhlenberg College
Lebanon Twp., N.J./Voorhees

In her first meet of the season, Gaykowski won the discus at the Lafayette 7-Way Meet, defeating three Division I throwers and five from Division II. Her distance of 135-6 was just a foot off the school record she holds and beat the Centennial Conference's top throw from all of last year. Gaykowski also finished seventh in the shot put.
