Andrew Pile Named Volleyball Coach at Dickinson

Dickinson College has announced the hiring of Andrew Pile (Limestone '13) as the new head women's volleyball coach. Pile comes to Carlisle following two impressive seasons as an assistant at Muhlenberg College. Pile joined the Muhlenberg coaching staff for the 2013 season and made an immediate impact, helping the Mules become the top blocking team in the Centennial Conference.

The Mules compiled an overall record of 45-20 and went 16-4 in conference play during the past two seasons, finishing 20-12 in 2013 and 25-8 last fall. They advanced to the conference championship for the past two seasons while Pile helped mentor six All-Conference players and the 2013 Rookie of the Year.

Pile is excited about the challenge of taking over a program and moving into a head coaching role. He inherits a team that expects to return three rising seniors and a pair of veteran juniors. The Devils also have a talented sophomore class that made a big impact last season.

"I am very excited for this opportunity, and looking forward to recruiting the type of student-athlete that wants to be successful on the court and in the classroom. I want to build a foundation to compete for conference championships and NCAA bids," says Pile.

Pile is a 2013 graduate of Limestone (S.C.) College, where he was a four-year starter as a setter and right-side hitter for the volleyball team. He served as team captain all four years, helping the Saints reach their first-ever conference championship match in 2013. Pile went to Emmaus High School, where he was an all-state selection in volleyball. He served as a volunteer assistant coach for the girls' team at Spartanburg High School and has worked numerous camps in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.

The Red Devils are scheduled to open the 2015 season on September 1st, when they travel to Saint Vincent College to face the Bearcats at 4:00 pm.
