Lee averaged 4.50 kills per set, 4.00 digs per set, .83 aces per set, and hit .291 for the week as Washington College went 4-0 at the Frostburg State Tournament. In a 3-0 win against Waynesburg on Friday, Lee had 16 kills, 15 digs, and hit .273. In the fourth and final match of the tournament, Lee hit 0.324 and had a match-high 21 kills to go along with 16 digs in the team's four set victory over Eastern Mennonite.  She earned the tournament's Most Valuable Player Award for her performance.  

 

Notebook:

Gettysburg sophomore Laura Bergin helped the Bullets go 2-1 in non-conference action last week. She totaled 40 kills for the week, averaging a team-best 3.33 per set. She connected on double-figure kills in each outing and posted double-doubles in two of the three matches, including a season-high 14 in the win over Elizabethtown.

Muhlenberg junior Katherine Boll was named to her third straight all-tournament team after leading the Mules to a 3-1 record at the Knights Invitational. She hit .347 while averaging 2.57 kills per set in four matches.

McDaniel junior Kloe Martin led the Green Terror to a 3-0 week by averaging 2.60 kills per set and 1.50 digs per set. Her 26 kills were tops on the team, recording 13 at York (Pa.) on Wednesday. She hit .322 on the week and added three aces and three total blocks.

Bryn Mawr junior middle blocker Rachel Ofili averaged four kills per set and only made 13 errors in 141 attack attempts. She put together a .362 attack percentage, tallied six solo blocks and ten block assists, and averaged one block per set. Ofili was named to the 2014 Seven Sisters All-Tournament team for her performance.

Dickinson freshman Norma Jean Park led the Red Devils with 18 kills in a pair of matches last week. She recorded 15 kills and hit a remarkable .545 in a three-set win over Penn State Harrisburg. She also added a pair of aces and five digs in the match.

Ursinus junior Karla Thiele averaged 4.22 kills per set and hit 0.204 as the Bears went 3-0 last week to extend their win streak to seven matches.

Swarthmore freshman Sarah Wallace led the Garnet to victories over Wilkes and Cabrini. She recorded 14 kills in each match for a 4.00 kills per set average and assisted the defense with 11 digs. In the three set match against Wilkes, she swung a .379 hitting percentage and the team hit .398 overall - a fourth-best mark in program history.

Boll hit .484 while averaging 3.00 kills per set to lead the Mules to their first Buttermaker Tournament championship in nine years. An all-tournament selection, she also recorded six aces and 14 blocks (1.08 per set) in the four matches. In the championship round, Boll hit .538 and averaged 3.57 kills per set, recording a match-high 16 kills against Allegheny and nine kills in only 14 attempts to go along with six blocks in the title-clinching sweep of Shenandoah.

Hubbard led Franklin & Marshall to a 3-0 week as the Diplomats downed Lancaster Bible, Elizabethtown, and Penn St. - Berks at the Crosstown Crossover. Hubbard tallied 103 assists in three matches (10.3 assists per set) to go along with 13 service aces and 27 digs.
