Pacilio won a race for the second week in a row, finishing first in a field of 255 runners at the DeSales Invitational. Her time of 22:01 was 15 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.

 

WEEKLY NOTEBOOK:

Dickinson won the 35-team DeSales Invitational on Saturday with 54 points.

Runner of the Week October 3, 2016

Katie Sullivan, Jr, Haverford

Katie Sullivan placed 11th at the Paul Short Invitational as she covered the 6.000 meter course in a personal best time of 21:25. Sullivan placed 11th overall in the field of 373 entrants that featured several Division I and II programs, along with many nationally-ranked Division III programs. A returning first-team All-Centennial performer, Sullivan has been the Fords' top finisher in both races this season.

Runner of the Week 9/23/16

Sofia Canning, Jr, Dickinson
Portland, Maine/Waynflete

Canning had another great outing, placing fifth out of 278 runners at the Purple Valley Classic at Williams College. She clocked a time of 22:18 and led the Red Devils past three teams ranked in the top-20, nationally, including #8-ranked Middlebury.

Runner of the Week 9/19/16

Felicia Koerner, Soph, Johns Hopkins
Munich, Germany/Bavarian International School

Koerner finished second individually in the 5,000 meter race with a time of 18:11.5. The sophomore battled Iona's first-place finisher Teghan Henderson over the course of the race before ultimately finishing just four seconds behind Henderson. Koerner led the DIII Blue Jays to victory over its DI opponents in the Iona Meet of Champions. JHU's top five finished with a 0:37 gap, one of the smallest gaps in program history. As a freshman, Koerner ran the lone 5,000 meter race of the season in 18:36.


Runner of the Week 9/12/16

Junior Sofia Canning set a course record for the second straight race this season, claiming the individual title with a time of 17:58, leading the Red Devils to their 23rd straight Little Three Championship.

Canning broke the course record with a time of 18:33 on the way to winning the Dickinson Light up the Night Invitational last week. She bested the field by 24 seconds to lead the Red Devils to the team title for the second straight season.
