The Muhlenberg wrestling team sent 11 of its non-starters to the 87th Wilkes Open, where they faced some tough competition that included many Division I and Division II wrestlers.

Sophomore Ramiro Osuna went 2-2 at heavyweight, scoring a pin in the first round before taking a 3-2 loss to a Division I opponent from Long Island University in the quarterfinals. Osuna (pictured above) won his first consolation bout by pinning a wrestler from Ursinus in only 20 seconds - the second-fastest fall by a Mule this season.

Freshman Michael Ruane (141), sophomore Ronnie Grevera (165), senior Mike Cannon (184) and freshman Hunter Gill (197) notched a win apiece, with Gill recording his third pin of the season.
