CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College women's swim team won eight of 13 events to best visiting McDaniel, 160-71, on Saturday afternoon at the Casey Swim Center in Centennial Conference women's swimming action. It was the home opener for the Shorewomen.Â

Shorewomen Highlights

Kylee Smith won the 200-yard individual medley (2:18.39) and
Emily Iamipieri captured the 50-yard freestyle in 25.31. Iampieri and Smith shared the top spot in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:29.00.
- Winning one individual event each were
Alex May in the 200 breaststroke (2:44.42),
Kenley Hewitt in the 100 breastroke (1:15.15) and
Kennedy Jones in the 100 freestyle (56.90).
- The 200 medley relay team of Hewitt, Jones,
Emma Schultz and
Anna Miller won the event in 1:58.71 and the 400 freestyle relay team of Schultz,
Lauren Paules,
Courtney Poetsch and Smith won the relay in 3:46.70.
Notes
- The Shorewomen improve to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the Centennial, while the Green Terror drop to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
- Iampieri won the 50 freestyle last year at McDaniel with the same time as today of 25.31.
