SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Gettysburg finished among the top-three in three events and the Bullets men's track and field team turned in a solid performance at the non-scoring Susquehanna University Challenge.
 
Senior Alex Petrecca (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde), senior Matt Robinson (Taneytown, Md./Pinkerton Academy [N.H]), and sophomore Dylan McKeever (Furlong, PA./Central Bucks East) all placed in the top-10 of the 3,000-meter run. Petrecca finished as a runner-up, his time of 9:00.46 now ranks ninth in school history, Robinson claimed eighth (9:11.58), and McKeever took 10th (9:14.84).
 
Junior Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully) registered third-place out of 41 runners in the mile with a time of 4:35.88.
 
Senior Mike Miller (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) placed eighth in the 5,000-meter run, clocking 16:38.63.
 
In the 4x800, the members of sophomore Christian Rodriguez (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey), freshman Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus), sophomore Owen Crosby (Wilmington, Del./Newark Charter), and sophomore Nick Kowgios (Pleasant Valley, N.Y./North Salem) took fifth-place (8:59.13).
 
Senior Thad Cwiklinski (Glen Rock, Pa./York Catholic) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash as he tallied a time of 53.75.
 
Sophomore Cael O'Brien (Hillsborough, N.J./Hillsborough), freshman Steven Heinbaugh (Fairfield, Pa./Fairfield), sophomore Nicholas Grissinger (Palmyra, Pa./Milton Hershey), and Cwiklinski claimed seventh in the 4x400-meter relay, clocking a time of 3:37.21.
 
On the field, freshman Fredrick Tubula (Narok, Pa./Friends Select School) registered a new personal record in the triple jump, leaping 42-10.25 to take third. His previous PR was 42-8.75, which he set back in December. 
 
Freshman Corey Palazzolo (Colts Neck, N.J./Christian Brothers Academy) notched eighth in the high jump (6-00.00).
 
The Bullets will next compete at the Roanoke Noke Elite Meet on Saturday, Feb. 9, with a time to be announced.
