LEBANON, Pa. – The Ursinus College women's golf team kicked off their 2023 spring schedule with a fourth-place finish at the Lebanon Valley Invitational on Monday afternoon.
The Bears had five members compete at the Lebanon Country Club a par-72 course that stretches over 5,726 yards. Ursinus landed on a team total of 494 (+206), while host institution Lebanon Valley College won the team title with a final tally of 401 (+113). Jefferson University (407, +119) finished second, University of Scranton (434, +148) took third place, and Eastern University rounded out the top-five with a team total of 564 (+276).
Sophomore
Elliot Schott highlighted the Bears spring opener by tying a career-low of 106, matching her best round from last season at day two of the Centennial Conference Championships. Schott finished tied for 10
th and closed out her first round of the spring 34-over.
Sophomore
Charlotte DiLello made her collegiate debut on the links and finished tied for 19
th with a final tally of 126 (+54). DiLello finished with a 61 on the front nine as her day was highlighted by a bogey on the par-three third hole. Junior
Rebecca Chernoff finished just behind signing for a 128 (+56), earning a 21
st-place finish.
First-year
Payton Fritz made her collegiate debut and closed out her opening round with a tally of 134 for 24
th overall. Fritz collected a bogey on the par-3 14
th hole and finished six shots better on the back nine closing out with a 64. Junior
Natalie Mehl rounded the five competitors finishing tied for 28
th overall with a final round of 160.
The Bears will return to action on Thursday, March 20
th as they host the Ursinus Spring Invitational from Manor Golf Course in Reading, Pennsylvania.
